FAREWELL TRIBUTE TO Dr. BENSON MORAH

It was with shock and sadness that I received the news of Benson’s demise. Benson and I go back so many years….  We both worked for many years with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). He was my direct boss for several years at the UNFPA CST Office, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

He was such a remarkable human being. A brilliant and exceptional professional. A high achiever. A perfectionist. A boss who expected nothing but the best from his team. But always combining his high expectations with kindness and compassion, even to a fault. I have seen Benson weep pained for an apparent misunderstanding. He was greatly respected and loved by all.

Relationships meant a great deal to him. He religiously kept in touch with the many colleagues and friends who had been his companions during his many years of work nationally and internationally.

Benson was a great philanthropist, who took the care of his immediate and wider family very seriously. He will be greatly missed by all.  We will all miss him dearly. May his dear soul rest in perfect peace.
